2017- Present
Conner Prairie
I originally started as an event Parker, but have continuously added new skills and roles. I currently still do event parking, am a groundskeeper, and am a balloon pilot. I maintain a positive aesthetic, control traffic during events, and provide balloon flights to visitors. I have extensive experience with many different kinds of machinery such as mowers, tractors (both automatic and manual transmission), backhoes, skid steers, lifts, and steam rollers. I preform preventive maintenance on vehicles. In addition, I respond to outdoor emergencies as necessary.
2022-2023 School Year
Great American Songbook Foundation
This was an internship during my second year of graduate school. I reorganized a collection of 21,000 pieces of sheet music to improve accessibility for staff and researchers. I also completed research around the proper care, storage, digitization, and retention of cellulose nitrate.
2023
Indiana State Museum
I assisted the exhibits team with the setup of an exhibit about the African-American influence on Abraham Lincoln. My duties included lighting the gallery and cases, placing display cases, painting object mounts, installed security devices, carpeting, and barriers to objects.
