Academic Experience

MA, Museum Studies - IUPUI

During graduate school, I had the opportunity to complete various projects. I cleaned collection objects in both the Indiana Medical History Museum and taxidermy at Eagle Creek Ornithology Center. I wrote a museum education program for the Museum of Broken Relationships, helped with an evaluation program for them as well. I worked with Kennedy-King Memorial Initiative to create a potential exhibit. Additionally, I assisted with the creating a 5 year strategic plan for the Hendricks County Historical Museum.

BA, History - Capital University

During my time in undergrad, I became a member of Phi Alpha Theta. I worked on CapTV (the campus TV channel) for one year. Having both video productions experience, and good standing with the history department, I was chosen for a class developing a documentary about the school librarian during World War Two. She kept in contact with many students and faculty who were deployed during the war. Miss Dorothea Conrad preserved her letters which made the project possible. In addition, I researched labor regulation during the American Industrial Revolution. My capstone was titled "Through Workers' Blood: American Business and Labor Regulation during the Industrial Revolution.
